Hair transplants/surgical

Our network of physicians we work with at Mane Image perform Microscopic Hair Transplants exclusively. We believe in using only leading hair transplant technology that will produce only the best results.

Transplants are not for everyone. Safety and your health come first. You must be healthy and be able to endure a surgical procedure. If you are a candidate for transplants you must enter into the surgery with realistic expectations. I would say the greatest disappointment of clients is that their expectations are set so high that it is not possible to move that amount of hair from the donor site therefore their expectation can never be met. If you enter into surgery with expectations of your own growing hair that will grow and give you MORE hair than you had before you will be pleasantly surprised.

During the initial consultation your technician can evaluate your individual hairloss needs and your inspect the density of your donor area. At this time you will be told what you can expect and will be given a couple of plans of attack with prices. From this information the client can take an aggressive approach to surgery or be more conservative and plan out more than one procedure to fit into their budget.

The transplant usually is done in a 4-5 hour time span under a local anesthetic. It is not recommended to return to work for a few days. You will have an incision in the back of your scalp that will require stitches that will need to be removed several days later. The transplanted area will scab over 5-10 days later leaving a redness to the scalp when they naturally fall off. The redness generally dissipates with in a couple of weeks The transplanted hair will be in l shock initially then take at least 3-6 months to begin to grow in. When the hair begins to grow in, is when the client can truly decide if the transplants are thick enough to satisfy them. If not an additional surgical grafting can be done if the donor area is still able to be harvested.

Keep in mind the smaller the thinning or balding area is the better the end result will be. In other words, the thicker the hair will be in the transplanted area. Transplants are also used to create a frontal hairline from which a hair replacement system can be placed behind it. Using these two solutions offers the best of both worlds the naturalness of your own growing hair and the fullness of a hair replacement system.
